OUR BELIEFS

WHAT WE BELIEVE.

Our beliefs are rooted in Scripture and centered on the person and work of Jesus Christ. These convictions shape how we worship, serve, teach, and live together as a church family.

01

THE BIBLE

We believe the Bible to be the authoritative Word of God, inspired by the Holy Spirit, composed of sixty-six books and divided into two departments, Old and New Testaments.

II Timothy 3:16; II Peter 1:20–21
02

ONE TRUE GOD

We believe there is but one living and true God, everlasting, of infinite power, knowledge, wisdom, and presence; Maker and Preserver of all things, both visible and invisible.

I Cor. 8:6; Gen. 21:33; Gen. 17:1; I John 3:20; James 1:5; Jer. 23:24; Gen. 1
03

THE TRINITY

We believe that in the unity of this Godhead there are three Persons of one substance, of equal and eternal being: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

II Cor. 13:14; Matthew 28:19; Ephesians 2:18
04

JESUS CHRIST

We believe that the Son, Jesus Christ, who is the Word of the Father made flesh, was conceived by the Holy Spirit of the Virgin Mary, uniting true God and true Man in one Person, never to be divided. This same Jesus actually suffered, was crucified, died, and was buried, to reconcile us to the Father and to atone not only for our actual sins, but also for our original sin.

John 1:14; Luke 1:35; I Tim. 2:5; Matthew 26–27; II Cor. 5:17–21; Matthew 9:6; Romans 5:12–21
05

SALVATION

We believe that Jesus Christ shed His blood for the remission of sins that are past; for the regeneration of penitent sinners; and for salvation from sin.

Romans 3:25; I John 3:5–10; Eph. 2:1–10
06

THE RESURRECTION AND RETURN OF CHRIST

We believe that Jesus Christ truly rose again from the dead, ascended into heaven, and now sits at the right hand of the Father until He returns to judge all men at the last day.

John 20; Acts 1:1–11; Mark 16:19
07

THE HOLY SPIRIT

We believe the Holy Spirit, proceeding from the Father and the Son, is of one substance, majesty, and glory with the Father and the Son — true and eternal God.

Acts 5:3–4; I Cor. 3:16; Acts 2:32–33; I Peter 4:14
08

BAPTISM IN THE HOLY SPIRIT

We believe in the baptism in the Holy Spirit being available to all born-again believers and in the present ministry of the Spirit in and through the believer, as manifested in the ministries, gifts, and fruit of the Spirit.

Luke 3:16; John 1:33; Acts 2:4, 2:38–39, 10:46, 19:6; Eph. 4:11; I Cor. 12:8–11; Gal. 5:22–23
09

DIVINE HEALING

We believe that divine healing is available to everyone through the sacrifice of Jesus.

I Peter 2:24; Isaiah 53:4–5; Matthew 8:17; III John 2
10

THE CHURCH

We believe the Body of Christ, the Church, consists of all born-again believers.

John 3:3–8; I Peter 1:23; II Cor. 5:17

SACRAMENTS

SIGNS OF FAITH & OBEDIENCE.

BAPTISM

The sacrament of baptism by immersion in water, in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, shall be administered to all who have repented of their sins, believed on the Lord Jesus Christ for salvation, and who give clear testimony of their salvation.

Romans 6:3–5; Col. 2:11–12; Matthew 28:19

THE LORD’S SUPPER

The sacrament of the Lord’s Supper shall be observed regularly as taught in Scripture and shall be available to all born-again believers.

Luke 22:19–20; I Cor. 11:23–29
